How
do I use the system?
A:
First, make sure that you
have a valid customer number. If you are not sure that you have a
valid number, call the number listed in the next question.
Second, enter your oligo name, sequence, modification, and scale. If you have any comments concerning the individual oligo, place them in the comments field. Next, click the "Add to Shopping Cart" button. When you are finished entering all of your oligos, click the "View or Place Order" button. From here, you can make any edits that are needed. When the edits are completed, click the "Order Now" button. Enter all of your shipping and billing information and click "Submit Order."
Q:
How
do I find my customer number?
A:
Your customer number can
be found on your packing slips that you receive from LI-COR, or by calling
800-645-4267 and requesting it.
Q:
Can
I enter my sequence using triplets?
A:
Yes. Simply put spaces
between your triplets. The oligo length calculation does not include
the spaces and is not calculated until the form data is processed (i.e.
the order is "added to the basket"). The length is displayed in the
table of oligos in the basket, and these can be re-opened for editing,
if needed.
Q:
Can
I enter non-ACGT letters for degenerate sequences?
A:
No. Because of the
complexities involved with manufacturing degenerate oligos, we ask that
you contact LI-COR for a quotation if you wish to order these types of
oligos.
Q:
Can
I order standard primers through the web?
A:
Yes. You can either
enter the sequence manually, or copy and paste from HERE.
The correct catalog number
and price will be applied to the order automatically. Applicable
discounts on standard sequences will not be displayed in the basket, but
will be deducted on the invoice.
Q:
What
do I need to do to order my Bonus or Support primers?
A:
In the Shopping Basket,
enter either Bonusxxxxxx or Supportxxxxxx with your six digit coupon number
into the "Your Order Number" field.
NOTE. The Bonus/Support
coupons may only be used for Express primers, not for Ready or Value Pack
primers. Applicable discounts will not be displayed in the basket,
but will be deducted on the invoice.
Q:
Why
is the price of my primers higher than I expected?
A1:
Discounts and credits for
Standard,
Bonus,
or Support primers are not reflected in the price displayed
in the basket.
A2:
There is a surcharge for
oligos longer than 30 bases of $2.50/base.
